Hi, there! Kat here with plenty of exciting news. As some of you may know, my boyfriend and I are now ENGAGED! Can you believe it? We announced our engagement just a few short weeks ago, and we are stoked to tie the knot. What’s even more exciting is that I am hoping to share all of our inspiration and how-to’s with you all here! There is something so special about a DIY wedding, and we hope that you’ll be along for the journey with us. <3

We’ve tossed around plenty of ideas in the past few months of how we would like all of this to pan out. We knew from the start that we wanted to have a destination wedding, with only our immediate families and close friends by our sides. We were on the path to a fun elopement in Vegas, then changed it up with wanting to go to Palm Springs, and even looked into getting married in New Orleans before settling down on Santa Fe.

Santa Fe has a special place in our hearts. It has been one of our favorite getaways, especially with the added convenience of only being four short hours away from our home in the Texas Panhandle. The first trip we ever took together was to Santa Fe, and it’s where we decided that we were going to get married, or, as we’ve said, “Do the damn thing.” The fact that we will be exchanging vows there makes it all the more special.
