We caught up with Ken and Cheryl, the husband-and-wife duo behind the brand, to learn more about their journey, their values, and what makes their work truly one of a kind.

Cheryl was raised right here in the Texas Panhandle! After meeting Ken in Abilene while attending Abilene Christian University, they got married and moved to Amarillo. They’ve raised a family here and have proudly called it home for over 35 years.

Tell us what makes your business a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

At Six Six Supply Co., every piece is original and built with care by hand in Amarillo, Texas. Ken is a lifelong craftsman and artist who pours his heart and talent into every item he creates. Their goods are made from premium full grain leathers sourced from American cattle and bison, paired with solid, high-quality hardware. The result? Timeless leather goods designed to age beautifully and offer years of use.

These pieces aren’t just products — they’re heirlooms, built to transcend trends and become more beautiful over time.

What inspired you to start Six Six Supply Co.?

It all started with a Christmas gift. Ken wanted to surprise Cheryl with something truly meaningful, so he handcrafted a leather tote bag from scratch. Late nights in the workshop turned into a beautiful, functional work of art that deeply moved Cheryl — and impressed the whole family.

Their encouragement led to the founding of Six Six Supply Co., a brand rooted in creativity, craftsmanship, and love. They launched in summer 2024 at the Canyon Farmers Market and have since grown into pop-up markets, fairs, and an online store.

What is your favorite part about being a business owner in Amarillo?

Ken and Cheryl love the wide-open spaces of the Panhandle and the hardworking, down-to-earth people who live there. They feel connected to the area’s rich heritage and are proud to be part of a community that values quality, craftsmanship, and authenticity.

What has been your favorite thing about being a part of From 6th Collective?

Not known yet. (To be determined as they continue their journey with the Collective.)

What are you up to when you’re not at work? Any hobbies or interests?

Outside the workshop, Ken and Cheryl enjoy spending time with their two dogs, Winnie and Roscoe. They’re both passionate about cooking — especially BBQ! Ken is an accomplished pitmaster who loves crafting delicious meals with wood and smoke.

What are you looking forward to most in 2026?

Ken and Cheryl are excited to grow their presence and sales through their new partnership with the Collective. They’re eager to connect with more people who appreciate handcrafted quality and original design.
