So I follow A LOT of my favorite designers, bloggers, & artists on social media...Instagram to be more specific. As I was scrolling my feed the other day, I realized a reoccurring theme. Almost all of the individuals I follow just happen to be women. This might be a little hard to comprehend, but I often feel rejuvenated and inspired after seeing all of the content they are putting out. I know, who still feels that way about anything on the web right? So much of our digital world has become negative and filled with hate, but my Insta-feed is a real gem. I'm loving the Insta-story addition as well. It's allowed followers to connect on a whole new level. As a result of this realization, I'll be sharing a series that shines a little light on some of the women I follow that push me to be more creative and inspired.
First up is Joy Cho from Oh Joy! She's an absolute power house who comes across grounded and genuine in all that she does. I started following her blog years ago, but having two kiddos has put a halt to pretty much anything involving down time and a computer. I love that she shares her design projects as well as moments with her adorable little family. Sometimes I feel like I live in a neutral colored world, but seeing the way she uses color constantly inspires me to find more opportunities to incorporate them into the projects I'm working on.
