For our local love feature, we spent the day in Canyon, Texas, just a few miles down the road from us! The town centers around a Historic Square that has blown up with restaurants, cute boutiques, and local hang outs in recent years. What better place to grab a couple drinks, bite to eat, and then walk it off while doing a little shopping?

Our favorite place to drink + dine is Barrel and Pie, a wood-fired pizzeria that features seasonal dishes including pizzas and small plates. They have an incredible whiskey + scotch selection that they use in a wide array of unique craft cocktails. Each weekday they have a different special, and luckily for us, we happened to pop in on Whiskey Wednesday where cocktails are half off! If you haven’t had a chance to visit at Barrel + Pie, you should make a reservation now! They welcome walk-ins, but it fills up fast. Snag a seat at the bar while you wait for a table or visit the kitchen bar where you can watch them prepare a pie just for you!
