monthly inspo

I’m always on the hunt for new local places to visit around town, especially if food or drinks are involved. This past month I finally made my way to Creek House Honey Farm in Canyon, TX for a friend’s birthday brunch.

If you didn’t already guess, it was a yes for me. From the darling gift shop to the beautiful zinnia and lavender fields, it’s a place worth visiting.

But first, we eat! Grab a bite in the Honey Buzz Winery. Enjoy a flight full of flavored mead (honey wine) and a sandwich. I got the chicken salad sandwich (Little Red Hen).

Not only can you purchase the amazing locally made honey and other products, but you can also go on a bee tour. The tour is hands on and a guided tour of a beehive, or you can take a beekeeping class. The bee apiary sits on 100 acres of beautiful pasture land overlooking Tierra Blanca Creek.

Every once in a while Creek House also hosts live music artists and food trucks such as Reagan’s Brick Oven Pizza Truck.

Have you made plans yet? If not, what are you waiting for?
