While we’re happy to be back on the school year routine, we can’t help but miss that summer sunshine. One of our favorite weekend cocktails that’s helping us get over those post summertime blues is the Lavender Margarita made with our popular Los Poblanos lavender syrup. This cocktail is deliciously refreshing, and can be whipped together in a matter of minutes. Treat yourself to an at-home happy hour with this go-to lavender marg.

Try it out and let us know how you like it!

Snag your favorite tequila for this margarita at your local liquor store. We had Casamigos on hand and used every last drop because these were so delicious! We recommend a blanco or reposado tequila for this recipe. Don’t forget to pick up several limes, as the recipe calls for fresh squeezed lime juice. If you want to take it a step further, grab a few extra limes and use them to garnish!

You aren’t required to use the lavender salt + sugar, but we HIGHLY recommend doing so! Pour a 1:1 salt + sugar ratio onto a plate or shallow bowl. Not only does it add more of the lovely lavender flavor, but it also looks pretty! To salt the rim, run a lime wedge around the top of the glass and dip or roll the rim of the glass through your salt + sugar mixture.

After your glass is salted, fill your glass up with ice – be careful not to knock too much salt off the rim! Next you’re going to measure out your ingredients and pour into a cocktail shaker. Add some ice to the shaker and shake it up! (Pro Tip: Shake until the outside of your cocktail shaker is frosty for the perfect mix.) Strain into your glass, garnish if wanted, and ENJOY!
