monthly inspo

Hello April aka Earth Month! It’s that beautiful time of year that reminds us to make better efforts on taking care of Mother Earth. And I’m the first to admit that I need to get better about reducing my waste output. I’ve found myself buying and using *more* plastic-packaged food and products during the pandemic. You too? Well, we’re slowly crawling out of this pandemic, so it’s the perfect time to look at our own lives and see where we can make small changes to do better.

And while I know living a completely zero-waste lifestyle can be hard, these are the small steps we can all take to help reduce waste. I’ve rounded up products around The Collective that are eco-friendly swaps to some everyday items around the house. The best part, these swaps help save you money too!

Shampoo/Conditioner Bars

Kitsch Shampoo/Conditioner Bars, Parliament Haus $14

These shampoo and conditioner bars give you 100 washes each that save a total of 2 plastic shampoo bottles. You also don’t have to sacrifice quality, each bar is made with salon-quality ingredients! And even better, the packaging is zero-waste.

Bee’s Wrap

Bee’s Wrap, Neon Moon $6.60

Single-use plastics are so last year and unfortunately, they last *forever. These Bee’s Wrap sheets are reusable and fully biodegradable. That difference matters!

No more scrambling after dinner for cling-wrap. Find these Bee’s Wraps in our Neon Moon booth in store.

Produce Bags

Produce Bags, From 6th Collective House Line $24

Cotton/Mesh product bags are a great swap to those plastic produce bags that get thrown away as soon as you get home. It’s just as easy and you can store your bags right into the fridge.

And, these produce bags from our Collective House Line won’t break or rip on you as you’re loading in groceries.

Euroscrubby

Euroscrubby, Neon Moon $4

These are great replacements for your one-and-done dish sponges. Euroscrubbys are reusable and multi-purpose. Whether you’re cleaning a stainless steel sink, the grout between tiles, cast iron, and non-stick cookware, this Euroscrubby will surpass all your expectations! You’ll want to gift these, trust me.

Unpaper Towels

Unpaper Towels, Parliament Haus $

Unpaper towels are great replacements for your disposable paper towels. They’re made out of super soft material and are incredibly absorbent. Reuse these over and over again while cutting down on your paper use.
