It’s Friday and the last thing I’m thinking about is what I’m cooking for dinner. However, this Pita Pizza recipe is super quick, easy, and amazing. These are personal sized too, and can be topped with your favorite toppings and takes less than 30 minutes to prepare.
Today, I’m sharing with you one of my favorite combination of pesto, blackberries, mozzarella, bacon, and a huge drizzle of honey. It’s a little sweet, a little savory and honestly the perfect balance of salty and sweet.
For this recipe I’m using pita bread, because it’s a #timesaver!
Ingredients:
Mozzarella Cheese
Pita Bread
Pesto
Bacon
Honey
Step One: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
Step Two: Start with a piece of pocketless pita or flatbread
Step Three: Slice your blackberries in half and cook 2 pieces of bacon. And cut your bacon into small pieces.
Step Four: Spread on the sauce of your choice, marinara, pesto, white sauce, whatever floats your boat. All would work! But today, we’re using pesto.
Step Five: Top your pita with the blackberries, mozzarella, and bacon and place in your oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Step Six: Top off your pita pizza with a huge helping of honey. My favorite is Los Poblano’s Lavender Honey.
