Between a global pandemic, racial unrest, a presidential election, and a 24/7 news cycle (ah! The anxiety), self-care is no longer a luxury but a necessity.

While these past several months have given us every reason to feel sadness & stress, the simpler, more intentional moments of the year hold greater meaning than ever before.

In celebration of surviving this whirlwind of a year, we present to you our Calm the Chaos event on December 19th, 2020. A few of our favorite retailers and specialists are popping up at The Collective to offer you an afternoon of pure bliss, because let’s be honest, you deserve it!

We’re no strangers to Avant Garden’s beautiful creations. In fact, we gushed about them right here on the blog back in our January Local Love feature. These talented ladies do more than just arrange pretty flowers, they’re crazy talented when it comes to event installations- like that dreamy pampas moon they assembled for our Collective Cowgirl Shoot. Join them from 12-3 for a come & go workshop!

Next on our event line-up is Kendra and her talented team from Mosaic Beauty Studios. These ladies specialize in bridal and special event hair + makeup. Collaboration over competition is our motto, so we love that Mosaic regularly shares their industry knowledge with other pros as well as the everyday person.

Like Avant Garden, we were delighted to work alongside Mosaic for both of our previous Collective Cowgirl shoots. Take a trip down memory lane with us to see some of their amazing work.

If you’ve been following us for a while, you probably remember Amarillo Laser & Vein Clinic (ALVC) from our previous design series “Project Complete.” Check out their exterior renovation our in-house interior design studio wrapped up last summer.

While we love the building, we love the business even more! ALVC is our absolute favorite self-care destination. Dr. Jarrous and his team offer a long list of services from laser hair removal & skin rejuvenation to botox & other laser treatments.

Because it’s cold, it’s dry, and it’s always windy, treat your skin to a free intraceutical oxygen facial sample, and/or pre-purchase the full service for $85 (A $125 value!) during this event. If you’ve visited us already, you’ve probably seen Hollow Dot’s dainty creations. Kaytie Gann, the gal behind the brand, creates and designs each piece of jewelry by hand in her small studio.

We’re drawn to her unique style and attention to detail. Whether you’re girly, chic, or even edgy, there’s a design for you.

Throughout the day she’ll be debuting her newest line addition, Welded Forever Bracelets. These are delicate chains that are custom fit to your wrist with no beginning or end. Love the analogy there- this year has been a long one, but the world keeps on spinning.

Did someone say wearable art!?! Count us in! The Mani-Camper’s beautiful aesthetic and nail art is completely customizable and one of our favorite additions within The Collective.

While living in New York City, Amber’s passion for nail art emerged. She knew it was something she had to bring back to Texas, so she did just that! She renovated an adorable ’73 Shasta camper into a mobile nail studio that you can catch a glimpse of out on our property. When she’s not doing events in the camper, you can visit her out west at The Collective in the newly founded Mani-Lounge.

Get festive with The Mani-Lounge’s Christmas gel manicures! These 20- minute appointments include light buffing, filing, and a solid color gel with foils or glitter.

Vonleikam’s creations are a feast for the eyes and your tastebuds! Ali, the founder of Vonleikam, is a self-taught cake designer, but you would’ve never guessed it! Learn more about her incredible talent on this month’s Local Love post, seen here.

It’s not lost on us that we’ve been more fortunate than others this year. We still got to launch our dream biz for crying out loud! With that said, we want to make sure that we give back to those that need a leg up right now. We’re happy to announce that this event launches our new Collective Cares mission by donating 10% of the all daily profits to Eveline’s Sunshine Cottage.

Eveline’s Sunshine Cottage is a project aimed at providing housing for homeless and low-income, single-parent families. The goal is to inspire them to seek a higher education that can move two generations off of welfare and other assistance programs.

Ultimately, they empower women while they get back on their feet and regain their confidence, self-reliance, and healthy relationships all while learning about money management.

As you can see, it’s going to be a big day. We hope that you’ll drive out west to join us!
